Privacy

The short version: your research data is yours and we never see it. The CISA tools run entirely in your browser; transcripts, codes and analyses are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us.

What the tools store on your device

• Accessibility preferences (text size, dyslexia-friendly text, contrast choices) in your browser's local storage, so the tools remember how you like to read.
• A licence token, for licensed tools only, so the tool can verify your licence without asking you to sign in each time.
• Nothing else persists. TranscriptReady holds your working transcript in memory for the current session only and warns you before you close with unexported work. The learning guide stores only your reading position and accessibility preferences. Your exported files exist only where you save them.

What reaches our servers

• Licence checks (licensed tools): the tool sends its licence token to our validation service to confirm the licence is current. The check carries no research data.
• Hosting logs: the site is hosted by Netlify, whose infrastructure records standard server logs (including IP addresses) as described in Netlify's own privacy documentation.
• Payments: purchases are processed by Paddle, who act as the seller of record and handle your payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive licence details, not your payment card.

What we don't do: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, no fingerprinting, and no sale or sharing of any personal data.
