How to access the resources

Licensing opens with the October 2026 launch. Until then the free resources below are available, and the licensed tools can be previewed on request.

What is free

  • Open Coder and Explorer — the single-transcript open coding tool, free in full and licensed for your own use rather than redistribution.
  • CISA Narrative Learning Guide — public documentation of the method, free to everyone whether or not you licence a tool.

What comes with the CISA Narrative bundle

  • TranscriptReady — supplied complimentary as part of the bundle. It is included with a CISA Narrative licence rather than offered as a standalone free tool.

What is licensed

  • CISA Narrative — the flagship analysis tool.
  • CISA Narrative Template Enhancer — the optional bespoke-framework builder, licensed alongside Narrative.
  • Open Coder and Explorer for Focus Groups — in development, and licensed when it is released.

How to buy

Purchases are handled by our payment partner Paddle, who take payment and issue your VAT invoice. When you complete a purchase, Paddle emails you a licence key; you paste that key into the tool once, and it activates in your browser.

This button is a placeholder. It will point at the Paddle checkout once licensing opens.

How licensing works

  • A licence is an annual subscription that renews automatically until you cancel, purchased through our payment partner Paddle, who handle payment, VAT and invoicing.
  • Your licence key activates the tool in your browser. The tool verifies it periodically; you can work offline for up to seven days between checks.
  • If a renewal fails or you cancel, your tools keep working until 14 days after your paid-through date, so an expiring card never interrupts an analysis session.
  • Licences are per-researcher. Institutional licensing: contact us.
