Accessibility

Accessibility is a founding constraint of the CISA suite, not a retrofit. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA across the site and the tools, with AAA text contrast wherever we have achieved it, and we verify contrast pairings, form labelling and keyboard operability with automated checks as part of every build.

What's built in: text-size controls in every tool and the guide; dyslexia-friendly text and high-contrast modes; polite screen-reader announcements for settings changes and navigation; visible focus indicators; colour-blind-safe palettes for every colour that carries research meaning; and figures that scale with your window.

Known limitations: automated checks cannot see everything; real-browser and screen-reader passes across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and iOS Safari continue through to launch, and some issues may be found and fixed during that sweep.
